YUKA&KAWADOKO - Outdoor riverside dinner/lunch

In Japan, the weather or temperature had been so unstable this spring as well as the last year.
We suppose many people was suffering from the gap of temperature or cold, due to that.

We have finally got the warm spring here.
The cherry blossom season is already done, but there is a upcoming event you should be in.

In kyoto, many restaurants beside the river offer a seasonal event called Kawadoko/Yukadoko which we are able to eat some food at terrace. 
Meaning you can enjoy Kyoto food and stunning view simultaneously.

We strongly recommend it, since It is held only from May to the end of September.

On top of that, we can do it at lunch time only in May and September.
That is to say, mostly it's at night, though both are fantasitic.

今年の春は昨年に似て、気候がとても不安定でしたね。
 温度差や風邪に困られた方も多いかと思います。

やっと、春らしく暖かくなってきました。
桜は終わってしまいましたが、これからもチェックしてほしいイベントがあります！

京都では、川沿いの多くのレストランにて川床を体験して頂けます。
京都の食べ物、落ち着いた雰囲気を同時に楽しんでいただくことができます。

５月から９月の間だけの営業となりまして、またランチサービスは５月と９月のみになります。
 昼も夜もそれぞれとても素敵ですので、興味のある方は是非行ってみてはいかがですか？

The introduction of our guests

How are you doing?

Even afer finishing the cherry blossom season, we still got many guests staying with us.
We are so glad about it.

So we would like to show some of them to the visitors of this blog.

The picture shown is taken at check-out and they sent us.
Isn't it so cute?

They are friendly and adorable family.
Looking at them made us feel happy by their smiles.

This is a just part of our guests, but seeing their smiles really encourage us to endeavor even harder as well.

So we deeply appreciate that lots of people are staying with us or stayed already.
We will make an effort to be much better and hope to see many of you in the future.

Cherry blossom season

Finally, it is warm in Japan.
We have the season for a cherry blossom here.

In Kyoto, this season is filled with sightseers every year.
Every sightseeing spots already bloomed cherries with beauty.

Also, there is a special-opening and light-up events in some places.

It is definitely worth going there and having some nice time.

There must be loads of information.

寒かった日々を乗り越え、ようやく暖かくなってきましたね！
今年も桜の季節がやってきました。

ありがたいことに、毎年この時期の京都は観光客で埋め尽くされます。
今年も既に観光地がキレイな桜でいっぱいです！

特別外観やライトアップといった行事もいくつかのお寺にて行われています。

来て見て損なしです！

インターネットに詳細は多く書かれてありますので、事前にお調べください。

みなさまが京都の桜を楽しんで頂ければなと思っています！

Kitano-Odori (Maiko and Geiko dancing)

Kitano Odori is held at Kamishichiken Kaburenjo from March 25 to April 7.
Performance time is twice, 13:30 pm and 16:00.

This is the event that you can see Maiko and Geiko dancing.
It has been held since 1952, so is really traditional and authentic one.

From that point, this is a must-see event rather than worthy one to have a look.

Concerning the tickets, it costs you 4500 yen/person (with Mattcha Green tea).
You can purchase it from 3 days before.

Regarding the access, you can take a bus no.50, get off at "Kamishichiken", and walk there.

北野踊りが、上七軒歌舞錬場にて３月２５日から４月７日まで開催されます。
公演時間は、１３：３０と１６：００になります。

この行事では、舞妓や芸妓による伝統的な舞がご覧になれます。
１９５２年より続く文字通り伝統的な行事となっておりますのでご覧になられてはいかがでしょう！

チケットはお一人様４５００円にて購入可能です。（抹茶付）
当日の３日前から購入可能ですので併せて確認下さい。

また、アクセスにつきましては、市バスの50番に乗車、"上七軒"にて下車して頂きますと、徒歩ですぐとなります。

March 6 was our guest from Hongkong, Elena's birthday. 

Her friend, Manyee, bought a cake and we ate them together in our common area
