A spectacular achievement

As we previously advertised, we are in a peak season, the red leaf one, in Kyoto.

In this month, November, we broke a one record, the number of foreign tourists.

This spectacular achievement is honored for us running touristic business.

Even it is a small effort we made for this achievement, it is still brilliant news.

We wish that you could be here, feel this special season, and be counted as one of tourists.

We deeply appreciate your consecutive cooperation.

Also, we cannot be satisfied with this, but need to be better at tourism mind.

We believe that this mind can generate better service for both foreign and Japanese tourists.

今月、11月、京都では過去最高数の外国人観光客の方に訪れていただきました。

この快挙は、観光業を営む私たちにとっても誇り高いものです。

皆様の日頃からのご協力誠に感謝いたします。

これからも、これに満足するのでは無く、外国の方、日本の方どちらにもより良いサービスを提供できるよう精進してまいります。

みなさんはすでにこの京都の魅力の一つをこの場で体験されましたか？

Red leaf season

We are eventually approaching one of the peak season, Red leaf season, in Kyoto.

Many people are grabbed their interests by its beauty, atmosphere of temples, and their combination.
It is definitely worthy to visit here in this season.

It is really hard even for us to recommend some specific places since the most of spots have good view and mood.
There is an official website informing you of temples or shrines with the status of red leaf.
So it should be a good idea for you to have a go to this website and decide your favorite one!

We know that it is so tough to find the accommodation in Kyoto, but if you could find one by any chance, please enjoy to the full extent in this special season:)


ついに紅葉の時期がやってきました。

多くの方が、その美しさ、雰囲気に惹かれ京都を訪れます。
もちろん、京都の年間イベントの中でも必見のもののひとつです！

どの観光地も大変人気で、良い雰囲気なので私たちもどこかだけを勧めるのはすごく難しいです。
公式サイトで、それぞれの神社等の紅葉の状況が分かるものがありますので、そちらをご覧いただき、お気に入りを決めていただいたらと思います！

A Happy Halloween

One worldwide annual event is on October 31.

We are sure you know it, Halloween.
Everyone should have many events corresponding to this big event....

In many shops, restaurants, or even stations, they are decorated with charming ornaments or pumpkins.

In Japan, we do not normally do “Trick or Treat”, but please enjoy it in your countries if you have the custom.

Kyoto is not an exception, so if you have any chance to visit here, why not coming here and seeing different Kyoto with decorations and disguised people.

世界中で開催されるビッグイベントがいよいよ明日です！

もう町中が変装、パーティーで大盛り上がりのハロウィンです。
皆さんの周りでも多くのイベントが催されているはずです。

多くの店や、飲食店、駅までも装飾品やカボチャでかわいくデコレートされています。

日本では、トリックオアトリートを行う習慣はないでしょうが、この盛り上がりに乗じてやってみてはいかがですか？

京都も多くの場所でハロウィンが楽しめます。
機会があれば是非、京都でこの大イベントを一緒に楽しみましょう！

Seimei Festival

It is known that Autumn is one of the peak season, due to the red leaves.

We are approaching this season, but we have many events going on even before the spectaculars in Kyoto.

One of these is upcoming on September 22 and 23.
It is Seimei festival at Seimei shrine.

In this event, Kagura dance and music performance will be took place with some lantern held to welcome the spirit of Abe no Seimei, a historical person, on 22.

On 23, more or less 500 people will be on march around the shrine with traditional music played.

This event strongly represents a part of our history, so if you have some interests in those kind, it might be a great opportunity to see the historical aspects.

You can go there by bus no. 9, getting off at Ichijo Modoribashi Seimeijinja-mae.

There are 2 days held for this events, so please pick up one at your preferable convenience.

皆さんご存知のように、紅葉の季節がどんどん近づいてまいりました。

そんな人気な時期の前でも、京都では多くのイベントを開催しております。

その一つがこの９月２２、２３日に晴明神社で行われる晴明祭です。

２２日には、神楽踊りや演奏が、多くの堤灯と共に阿倍晴明お祀りするために行われます。

２３日には、５００名近くの人々により神社周辺で、伝統的な音楽と共に行進が行われます。

歴史的な祭として、そのようなものに興味のある方には良い機会ではないかと思います。

アクセスは、京都市バス９番に乗って頂き、一条　戻橋　晴明神社前で降りていただければすぐです。

Hassaku Festival

On September 6 and 7, another annual event is held in Matsuo Taisha shrine.

It is called "Hassaku festival".
Hassaku is corresponding to the date of August 1.
We have loads of natural disaster or harmful disease in this season, so it originally began to pray for the protection from them, a good harvest, or our health.

They hold some events like Sumo wrestling or traditional dance at present.
The venue is lit up by some lanterns with colors.
So even you do not have any knowledge about this festival, you might be able to have some good times there.

You can visit there by bus or Hankyu train.

9月6日、7日に松尾大社にて八朔祭が開催されます。

八朔とは、旧暦８月１日(朔日)の事で、このころ台風や病害虫の被害をこうむる事が多いため、風雨を避け、順調な五穀豊穣、家内安全を祈ることを目的として始められました。

現在では、相撲や六斎念仏踊、また堤灯により彩りよく会場が照らされますので起源等が分からなくても楽しんで頂けるかと思います。

松尾大社には、バスか阪急電車にていって頂けます。
その他の情報につきましては、インターネットにてお調べ頂ければと思います。

Star Festival

During this period, an annual event is ongoing!

It is called Kyoto star festival illuminating some spots in Kyoto.


One is held along Horikawa River, the river itself or Nijo castle were artistically lit up and decorated with lots of color.

Another is held along Kamogawa River, the river all way through around downtown is lit up and decorated with beauty.

At both spots, the exhibition is held as well as above.
It is from August 2 to 11.

この時期京都では、京の七夕が開催されています！

堀川会場では、堀川そのものや二条城などが芸術的、かつカラフルにライトアップ、デコレートされています。

賀茂川会場では、繁華街近くの川沿いがきれいにライトアップ、デコレートされてます。

８月２日から１１日まで開催されております。

New property, Koto-An

Hello, everyone!

Today, we announce that we opened Koto-An, one property rental service.

It is suitable for families, a big group, or even couples on the special occasion.
This does not mean it is restricted for those people.

We are always willing to have all of you, so please contact us at the first place.

To briefly explain you, 3 bedrooms, 2 toilets, a bathroom, kitchen, living room, and some amenity are set for your party.

Its structure is a traditional one, Machiya, and two stories.

It must be perfect to feel Kyoto life and chill out.

こちらは、一棟貸しでのサービスになりまして、主に家族、大人数の方、もしくは特別な機会にカップルでのご利用に最適かと思います。
当然これらの方限定ということではありませんので、まずはお気軽にご連絡ください。

簡単にご説明いたしますと、寝室３部屋、トイレ２つ、バスルーム、キッチン、リビングに加えていくつかのアメニティ－をそのグループの方のみでお使いいただけます。

町屋で２階建てになります。

休日をくつろいでいただくには最高だと思います。
