Baika Festival
Baika Festval is held on 25th of February in Kitano Tenmanguas shrine an annual event!
This one is originated from representing a respect for Michizane Sugawara, a deity of study.
So it is taken place on his death-day every year.
There are some events such as a plum-viewing, huge open-air tea ceremony by a geisha or maiko, or special opening.
For taking part in this open-air tea ceremony, you need to purchase the advanced ticket.
It is already on sale, from January 25, and limited to the first 3000 reserved people.
If you would like to go for that, we guess that you need to be in a hurry for that.
For the other ones, you do not need to get some tickets in advance.

今年も北野天満宮にて、2月25日に梅花祭が行われます。
もとは学問の神として知られる菅原道真の命日に、彼を称えるものとして始まりました。
梅の花が見れたり、舞妓さんによる野点や特別公開のようなものもあるようです。
野点に参加するには、先着3000名様限定の件を前もって購入する必要があり、1月25日より販売されておりますのでお求めの方は至急問い合わせが必要かと思います。
アクセス方法は、市バスの50番に乗車し、北野天満宮前で下車して頂ければ大丈夫です。
