やはり八つ橋、阿闍梨餅、京ばあむといったスイーツ系のお土産が定番でしょうか。
でも実は京都にはオシャレな雑貨屋さんもたくさんあり、お土産にもできるようなオリジナル商品を販売しているんですよ！
そこで今日は、京都を訪れた際に、ぜひ立ち寄っていただきたいお店を2つご紹介します。
まずは、四条河原町、清水寺の近く、嵐山、そして京都駅内に店舗をかまえる、「カランコロン京都」です。
ここでは、「はんなり」「かわいい」をコンセプトにデザインされた雑貨が販売されています。
かばんやポーチ、アクセサリー、扇子など、様々な雑貨がありますが、そのなかで私がイチオシしたいのはこちら！
陶器でできたピアス・イヤリングです。
伝統工芸の技術を用いて、一点一点丁寧に手焼きで作られています。
カラフルな色使いで描かれた、格子状の模様がとっても素敵です！

次にご紹介するのは、宮川町の路地にあったお茶屋さんを改装し建てられた、「裏具」というお店です。
葉書や一筆箋、ぽち袋など気持ちを伝えるためのオリジナル文具を扱っています。
和柄模様を使った洗練されたデザインが特徴で、若い女性を中心に今人気上昇中の京都土産なんですよ。
特に話題になっているのが、こちらの「まめも」という商品。
これは手のひらサイズの小さなメモ帳で、気になったことや思いついたことを書き留めておくのに最適です。
プレゼントに一言添える、ミニ便箋としても重宝しますよ～。

When you visit Kyoto, what kind of
souvenirs do you want to buy for your family or friends?
Maybe, you’ve heard of some sweets, such as
“Yatsuhashi” and “Ajari mochi.”
But it is also popular to present
accessories, stationeries and cosmetics originally made in Kyoto.
Today, I will recommend some shops to buy
souvenirs!
The first one is “Karan Koron Kyoto.”
They have shops in Shijo-kawaramachi area,
Arashiyama area, near the Kiyomizu temple and inside the Kyoto station.
You can find bags, pouches, accessories, sensu
(Japanese fan) and so on there.
The goods are designed based on the concept
of “Kawaii (cute)” and “hannari (the Kyoto dialect meaning like elegant).”
I especially like pierced earrings formed
out of china.
They’re hand made by the technique of Japanese
traditional craft.

The next one is “Uragu.”
It is remodeled antique tea house in
Miyagawa-cho.
They sell a lot of original postcards,
letter papers and message cards.
Their urbane design with Japanese pattern
is booming among young women now!
“Mamemo”, a very small message card is the
most popular thing there.
I think you are going to be surprised at
the variety of design when you get into the shop, and you must find your
favorite one!
